This is a very old John Venn lure from FNQ.
I have posted up a few before.They mostly come with rattles and are well made.
I have tried to find him but no luck so far.

Firstly a great lure.
Great shape and striking colour scheme.
I think thats the only other maker I've seen do the double stripes as per the Bruce Kilpatricks you put up.

Barry,i think this is a John Vinn,signed JVN,i have seen this signature before,would be a much later
lure than yours,no rattle,let me know what you think.

Carl that is a Tom Murray lure made in Kairi on the Atherton Tablelands.I have not done a bio on him yet but may one day.I have about 40-50 of his lures with a good range of shapes and sizes.
Tom lives in Weipa now.

Barry/Carl, I have one with the signature under the bib exactly like Carls. Didn't know the maker until now, thanks for the ID. Purchased in a tiny tackle shop at Edmonton south of Cairns in early 90's nice paint and finish.
