Gday all
Hope im doing this right. Just wanted everyone to know about my recent successful trip to Derby and surrounds.
Fished river mouths and creeks and got heap of salmon fingermark and jacks. But sadly coudnt get the barra up. Water temp down to 22c so headed inland.
There the action hotted up. Big jacks and barra to 88cm.
Fished solely using Barneys Deep River Lures and was totally blown away by the action depths reached and castability of these beautiful lures.
Caught fish on shallow diving 65mm to deep diving 125mm.
The hardware stood up to some serious jack and barra action.
Needless to say very happy man
Thanks all
Johno

You can't fault Barney's knowledge and lures.

Just a selection of what I took up with me.
Only lost a few but the crocs sadly prevented recovery.
But most definitely will ask Barney if he will kindly replace.
Cheers all

Sounds Like a good trip John
I also bought and took some of Barneys Deep River Lures up into the god`s country last July.
The lures looked great and I am curtain would have produced the goods.
The failure was mine, we spent far to much time booked into bad weather locations along the coast that by time we got to Derby we where running short of time.
Only spent 1 day in Derby, due to the weather flattening out when we were due to leave Broom so ended up spending an extra week in Broom. Which seemed like a good idea at the time as everyone coming back from the top said the Barra were very slow if at all due to the lack of rain last year and the colder temp.
Managed a couple of Barra in Geki Gorge at Fitzroy Crossing and would rely love to get back and fish Wyndam and the Cambridge Gulf, Shit that looks good. Will do it again, but either October this year or March next year Barneys Lures will get a shot at whats on offer King Ash Bay NT, I`m sure they will produce the goods if the dill using them dose it right.
Once again well done and nice fish
Kimo
