these were made by  my father .he started making lures as a hobby in the 80s .he got serious about it in the 90s and made quite alot for awhile,unfortunately became ill in07 and sadly passed away in january  09.i joined this site a couple months ago and am blown away by the quality lures on display and want to put my old mans pics up for all to see .

A bit of background about your dad would be great....they are very well finished lures....you should make up a nice frame for them to hang on your wall.

I have one here in packet called kingfisher lures ,heaths rd  hoppers crossing made balsa ... looks to be the same lure as shown here same sort of paint and shape ... complete angler sold them ...did he call them that before  larrikin   . I did have others but don't seem to have them now a mate might have them   .....cheers aaron

yes he did call them kingfisher until he found out someone in qld already was trading with this name and basically had to change it .been looking at your lure ,top notch love the murray crays

found this one.i think it is the first lure he ever made in the early 80s this wasin alice springs before he moved to melbourne.they came along way from the 80s

Did he make a short fat surface popper with US hook hangers the one's that need screws to hold them on I have a couple new in PkTs called Kingfisher lures with a I think Blue Kingfisher on it I cannot find the picture but will and put it up

Found pictures,I found this lure in a tackle shop lure bin there was two of them.






I think it had Australian made on it also
