I recently received my first & very beautifully crafted "nude" lure
Thanks Fysshe beautifully wrapped in monographed - salmon tissue type paper. Silky oak lure arriving on the "SCENE" The Silky Oak nude lure kissing its partner - a Silky oak desk. "lets get close & personal" This lure will be a feature on this desk from now going forward "Hope some can see the humour". Or at the very least appreciate FYSSHE craftsmanship (its autographed) Talking About Salmon I just missed getting into the world famous "holy grail" --- "30lb Salmon club" - landing a 27lb 10 oz. Chinook caught on what should be best described a small alvey reel(beware of the knuckles - or "yousa gona" be bleeding)when the Salmon takes off on its run (in the sea - these are the healthy ones not half dead with spawning) the reel takes off and you have to get your finger out "VERY" fast and put your hand into the breaking position = pressure on the bottom of the spool - it was caught on a down rigged lure with a flasher in front of the lure Do any of our members fish lures in this way in Australia? (the flasher is about 40cm long) Thanks Waxie P.S. I will take a picture of the flasher used - I bought it after catching the fish. |

Wayne, that rig is used down south in lakes for trout but on a smaller scale! Attractors such as flashers and "Cowbells" are used in front of the lure (or fly)

Yep, flashers and dodgers are used in Jindy and Eucumbene (and others around here) , flat lining or on down-riggers, never heard of one 40cm long though .

Nice nude ..... can't put the humour into as it wouldn't get past the moderators, but it's the only time most blokes would appreciate seeing somebody else's 6 inch wood.
