This lure is hollow but made in 2 halves. It has an elongated hole towards the tail that presumably one could put berley or scent in.Not sure.
Just made out the writing on the blade.Made in England and Wadham Nature Baits

Barry,
not a lot of info in cyberspace, but if you have the book "Best of British Baits' there should be a section on Percy and his lures. Made of celluloid like the early winged lures of Tassie.

Percy Wadham, fishing tackle manufacturer, Newport, Isle of Wight,  After the death of Percy Wadham the company was taken over by his son Walton Wadham. His company Dreadnought Reel Company was founded in 1909 and was still in operation into the 1960's.

Hi
The gap towards the end of the body was for the trace to pass through. I have a few Wadham baits and he got up to allsorts. I have seen a few of his earlier baits and have one which I will upload for you at some point. He was very innovative and went for the real fish look on most of his baits. he was based in the Isle of White, a little island at the foot of Britain. I'll try to get up some of my other English stuff by other makers and post a little Display frame I made up with mostly English items in them. Thanks for the show.

These Whadam lures were also sold by Allcocks as 'True-Form'.
(Same lures, just different stamp on the fins for the ones sold by Allcocks).

I have some nice ones in my collection.
