Mark made lures in Townsville in the latter part of the mid eighties. He brought lures from George to save some money until one day he told George he was going to have a crack at making a few for himself. George offered to help him learn the craft as long as he wasn't selling them. They do show a similarity.
He believes he may have made up to a thousand but true to his word they were fished by himself family and friends. A few were sent up to Ken Millard in the gulf.
The lures were slowly fished away", not much care when they were made at home, and below is all he believes is left, happy to have them in my collection.
Great site, wish I could go back in time and pick more lures off Georges clothes line under the house. Who woulda thought! Hope this helps, maybe someone has one of these big eye Georges out there. If post in the wrong section please change.
Gavin
