So, it was my birthday last week and Pete was nice enough to paint up some lures I was waiting on, and send me a couple extras.
Today I went for a little play after work (only an hour) not expecting much as the rain has filthied everything up proper.
Just wanted to see how the little bee swam, really.
Anyway, after half an hour of walking it around for one little boof, and the sun started setting over this little lake, dragon flies and other bugs were dancing around the surface and I thought things might get interesting.
Bass in this pocket are notoriously hard to tempt on surface, but I got a few to come up and boof the bee.
Missed a couple of decent boofs, but eventually hooked up to this little guy.
Ended up landing another 2 small fry, and dropping 2 from genuine hits, and plenty half hearted boofs that just make me smile...
Thanks Pete Clap

I should add - the lure body is only 40mm, so the fish is just a little guy.
But absolutely beautiful bronze colour, and condition.
Badly focesed camera phone on dusk does him no justice.
