Paul is the green Kad with black rings your paint job?

Worth a small fortune some of these lures.

Cheers,

Danny.

Yeah Danny, the Kad was made in the same handful I did for our Mulwala trip in 95, I am amazed that most of the dozen or so I made have survived, all the bibs were wire cut from stainless steel. I was in a fishing club with Joe before we left Campbelltown in Jan 97.

I remember that Mulwala trip I ran two mega boomers on two separate outfits from memory Calcutta 400 with Samurai rods by the end of the trip the side plates had rattled loose so many times I had to replace the frames on the reals because the threads had stripped completely out lol.
The other thing that comes to mind from that trip is how loud Brett Young can snore

Hi Joe, seeing as you're from Campbelltown and knew PK, thought I might run this one by you. Paul thought the maker may have come from Appin way or somewhere close to there. No makers name, and a funny place to find a barra lure maker.
I purchased this lure at the South Alligator R. store in the late 80's, only one hanging there at the time.
Regards, Seaweed (please forgive the blurry image0

Close, Narellan I think, I will ask my mate next time I speak to him, some guys in the 80's rented a small work shop next door to his cabinet shop, and they were making lures, something makes me think they were called Nee Deep Lures?

Thanks Paul.

It's certainly one of my favourite colour patterns. I have a Hornet (seems to be the most common Hornet colour pattern - if you could say anything about a Hornet is "common") and a twisted wire Shrimp in the same kit. The green almost has a bit of turquoise in it, and it certainly glows once the darker back is sprayed on.

Hang onto that one Joe. It's the standout in your collection.

Cheers,

Danny.

Hay Paul
Wire cut stainless bibs now that's precision (+-0.001mm) lure making they would have taken 3/4 hour each to cut with the tow slots

Joe, Paul's correct Narellan not Appin. All sound the same to me up here .
Appreciate if you can ask around, mystery makers are a quest. Only ever seen one other, Cranky in Cairns has one.
Seaweed.

Tony I sent my mate a text, haven't heard back yet, but that's not unusual, he'll get around to it Wink If it's the ones I think it is, they were from out Penrith (lower blue mountains area) their dad, i think owned the unit or rented it, in Narellan. I didn't really have anything to do with them, only visited Gary's workshop a few times while they were there, here's the clue though, they didn't really interest me as they were pretty much only doing barra (tropical stuff) lures and i was a bass nut, i reckon it was somewhere around 1986-87ish?

They didn't come with the holes mate, had to hand drill them all, that took about 3/4's of an hour each Confused
