Endemic only to Tassy and a wonderful medium for lure carving though more famous for its use in the wooden boat building industry
Looks as if the specialty timbers are going to become even harder to source with the Tas goverment locking up the forest industry and potentially sending alot of specialty timber craftsman out of business . Already the timber fetches $4500 a cubic metre and who knows where the price will peak Up for grabs are two 50mm naked KBP lures . Never knew it was a favoured guitar building material and had certain sound qualities . And being a string plucker myself it is very interesting to know I'm tipping it would be one expensive sound board to build these days Dave ... |
