Hello Per. I like the colour pattern, especially the red on the tail. Are you going to use them fishing? Shane

well Per its probably made in Tassie as both Wigstons and Johnsons appear to be made there .I think JKR is right it being the Super Kobra although wigstons have one in similar colors

I wouldn't bother too much trying to identify winged lures by their colour/pattern. They've been stealing each other's designs for ever and a day.
The first lure of that pattern (yellow wing; black body with diagonal gold stripes) that I can recall was the 'Black Hole' Alpine Cobra made for Scott Mitchell at the Alpine Angler. It was the best of the Alpine Cobras, and subsequently Tassie Devil started making their very similar Zebra (first in clear wings, then yellow wings also). I rarely pay any attention to Johnson Super Kobras, so I couldn't tell you how long they've been making this particular pattern. Regardless, and the point i'm making is that there's three makers at least who've run with this same pattern. Look at the unusual shape of the head and forked tail. Johnson Super Kobra is the only maker doing that. |
