Some time back Captain Angry, dropped in for a short chat and left after 3pm and many cups of tea. As a result I discovered about 400 lure blanks in varied state of completion They ranged from 7" bibless trolling lures down to 2" fresh water bibbed lures with and with out rattles.
The phrase, "You gotta finish these", came up quite a few times. So I started. Attached is a photo of the first batch. Surprisingly after all these years, they came up ok and even some of the old paint was still ok. Took some time to get the air brush working though. there are more to follow. Jim Jim |

it's like riding a bike Jim, the skill is always there even if the legs say no
They look good, and unique too, how many lures out there are finished 1/2 a decade after they were started...like a good red they can only improve with age Darbs |

Darby the legs most definitely say no. Actually some of those blanks would be closer to 30 years old. Even found some of the originals, they would date back to about the mid 70's.

Good to see Jim, I happened to be on the phone to Captain Furious when he was at your place so was interested to see his excellent bio, but now good to see you getting a few lures painted.
They have come up a treat ready to get amongst a few mackerel by the look of it.
