Here's some examples of Old man Lures Bibless range
On top is the 150mm Version (the largest) Bottom Left is 60mm (the smallest) Bottom Right is 90mm There was also a 120mm version made (if you have one I'd love to hear from you!) An extract from the price sheet for Old Man Lures: Old man Lures are in use in every state of Australia & have been exported to PNG, Fiji, New Zealand, Lord Howe Island. All lures are gauranteed to swim, and come in a range of 30 colours. They can also be finished in your own favourite colours at no extra cost. |

The largest bibless Old man Lure sold was 150mm, although this pic of a
model approx 260mm long was in the images sent to me by Jeff Adams
I imagine this may have been a one-off lure made for personal use - I love the paint scheme on this! |

Well it looks like my guessing was accurate for once!
Just got an email back from Jeff, here's what he said about the big 26cm Bibless lure: "Yeah, that 26cm bibless was a one off, it's swims unbelievably well, can handle 10knots. Dad made that for Cato etc, but it never got used. We wanted something to compete against the big Yo-Zuris that were around at the time." |
