pic is cobia i caught jigging on a trip to 1770 - late 70's
a wife & a steady job are a handicap to the serious fisherman !!

It was a rough road into 1770  in 1986, let alone the 70's - it would have been a real adventure getting there then.

yes - very rough - lots of damaged trailers - only one shop then - but you only had to launch the boats once then anchor them at the caravan park near your tent

a guy callled dennis griffith from B.S.F.C bought a block up there - dont know if would still have it

About 10 years ago I was supposed to have been part of a 8 person syndicate for 10 acres with a big fully fitted out to live in shed that slept 10, 2 bathrooms at Agnes Waters behind the hard ware store. I was in Cooktown when it was bought for $20 grand each so I missed out - bugga (had the dollars then too)Cry
