Great looking lures, never seen one before.
Truley inovative bib design/tow point design, never seen that before either, dosnt look like anyone else has copied the bib idea either.

A handful of years back Palmers Island general store (near Yamba) had about 10 on the wall for $12ea, cursed I never grabbed them Doh! How is Chappy going these days, does anyone here catch up with him? A little bit of info for collectors, the original timber ones came off a Over Head pin Router that I supplied to them, Cheers Paul.

Thanks for the info. on Dawson guys, are there many of these out there in timber?
Think I saw a couple hanging in Laurie's (Oldman's) lure room once, but I could be mistaken?

I am not a 100% sure what Chappy called to his lure company? Was it just River King lures, or was it  (Don) Lawson Lures- River King?

I don't think he branded his lures under any name apart from Lawson and the various names such as River King, Barra King. Last I saw him last year he is doing well. Spending more time out and about and I think overseas after the passing of his brother whom he was the carer of. Still living in Emmaville and regularly fishing. Also does fishing casts for mounting.

I have a number of his lures in timber he made for me a few years back. I have posted these in the Riverking section.
