I caught up with a good friend of mine Paul Dolan of Fraser Coast Sportfishing today to get the goss from Paul about Strikezone Lures (Which Paul founded in 1994) and Pro-Rigging Kit lures which Paul founded in 1990. I'll be posting up some great info and lures Paul kindly showed me to help get the definitive information on both of those Lure Brands that Paul started.

While I was there I mentioned to Paul how thrilled I was with the 1st Edition of Modern Fishing that I posted up here on LureLovers.com yesterday, and Paul remembered something he had tucked away in the office....

Here's a few early Outdoors and Fishing Magazine covers I have scanned in, Paul generously lent me a few of the mags he has to have a look at, if anyones interested in seeing them I'll put up some scans of articles and ads

Wayne - I haven't seen any ABU ads yet, but think I saw at least one pictured in an article so far that I'll send you when I get a chance Wink

Just looking at the covers is enough to make me dream of how much simpler life must have been in many ways!

Cheers, Tony

For the love of Fishing Lures.

I think  I can see what the problem is Wayne

You have inserted the images as links rather than as images.

i.e. When adding the images to the post perhaps you clicked on this button   however should have been this button

I've fixed up your post above so the images show, you might like to experiment a little in the test forum - it's a great way to try out different features of the forum.

Please let me know if you're still having trouble and I'll help get it sorted - have pm'd you my phone number Thumbs Up

And another interesting article from April 1952 on a topic still very relevant over half a century later:

The farmer Likes Hunting and Fishing too!
