What's the story behind the shape? Do you know why they have all the bendy bits?
Hi I'm Ropes and I'm addicted to fishing lures.

The only thing I am aware of is the little plug on the box "never miss" point. The price recorded on the box was 4/6 per dozen so you would think they were late 50,s or early 60,s release.
I have never tried one. Forgot I had the box.
Maybe I should do some R and D and report back
Regretably Morton Bay is not renown now a days for its fish stocks.
Regards John

Thanks Alan
Any additional info would be welcomed.
They must have been an unpopular hook at the time. Maybe they were to expensive.
or only a few shops stocked them.

I know this is an old post but I'll try to reply anyway. I am interested in finding some examples of these Pescaro hooks. I have an old retail sign that I have had for years and it sports the only picture of these odd hooks. If anyone has or knows where I can get some actual hooks, I would appreciate it. You can pm me or better email at ronn at ronnlucassr dot com

Hi  Ronn and welcome to the site.
Have a number of different sizes will chase them up over the next few days and send you a PM

Unfortunately some are loose and  sizes are really unknown.

I think I have placed ads up here on the site, from Aussie magazines dated early 60's .

regards John

Hi John,

That's great. Please email me at ronn at ronnlucassr dot com rather than pm cause it's more direct and easier.

Happy Trails!

Hi Ronn
Great to see you on here and welcome. I saw a box of these about a year ago and never thought anything of it....wished I had got them now! I absolutely love your site and always poppin in to have a look. Could do with a chat sometime as I have some stuff/photographs which might be useful for your site and history. I am also after some hooks myself so might pm you direct. Otherwise, enjoy the company of fellow collectors! It's the hook that does it!!!!

Tightest of lines to you!
