Found this in The Australian Angler March 1971.
I wondered how efficient laying the wire all the way through the lure would work and whether it would effect the action of the lure. Copper wire? Swivel in the middle of the lure? Regards John |

Very interesting to read. Couple points stood out, firstly about an expensive lure being $1.50 and secondly the final statement about the joy of catching fish on your own lures.

Through wire lures are very strong, but a pain in the dogs breakfast to make. My original lures were through-wire jobs. Thank god that Newelly sorted me out.
