Found this in The  Australian Angler March 1971.
I wondered how efficient laying the wire all the way through the lure would work and whether it would effect the action of the lure.        Copper wire?           Swivel in the middle of the lure?

Regards John

Very interesting to read. Couple points stood out, firstly about an expensive lure being $1.50 and secondly the final statement about the joy of catching fish on your own lures.

Thanks for sharing.

Through wire lures are very strong, but a pain in the dogs breakfast to make.  My original lures were through-wire jobs.  Thank god that Newelly sorted me out.
