hi all just got back from fishing in png in the eastern provence of Hoskins on uluai island went with aus angling chasing the mighty black/spot tail bass they live up 2 their name very hard hitters and fight just as well caught a lot of fish but lost as many the realy big ones u just cant stop fished with hard bodied lures mainly jonesy the bass seem to love them, going back again next year to try and get 1 over 30 lb

caught most fish trolling deep banks using jonesy lures rhino,s must the great action they have and vibration through the water tried a lot of other lures but didn't seem to work as well on that I did do well casting rmg skin deeps but once u got fish u seem to stay with whats working

Its one of the coolest fishing trips you can do Adrian, I'm also hooked on PNG. If it doesnt get any more hostile in West Papua over the next few months we have another trip organised in early November & I can't wait!! I also look forward to seeing some of your pics & hearing more about it.

I asked the same question and I was told that the deep water between us and png on the fault line which is 11klm deep is why they wont cross

how ya going we fished in between 3.5 to 4.0 mt most of the time on most bends and could not go past without getting smashed using jonsey lures (rhino) orange on bottom with green on top they are a must for anyone fishing these areas ,I have just started using them here in Weipa chasing barra and have great results need to buy some more cheers

I was given a couple of small Joneseys, 'ELLE', about 2". AUSSIE BASS SIZE!
Made well and strong to boot! The finish is great, as are the colours. Thanx Dishley.
I hope these are from the same maker........... Ermm
