Hi guys,probly an unknown but the signature is worth scrutiny,the finish coat has made it run,scorpion was probly written after top coat,one of you out there will know what it is?? Gristy

Flicks writting was always much smaller, I think it is Fletts. May-be ?

g.day grey nomad these lures are definately not mine they are a good copy of peter newell's scorpions and the smungeing is caused by the top clear coat theirs a few secrets with wat pen and ink. regards flick.

Hello Aaron, I use a fine tip marker and then spray over it with clear fast drying enamel before I put on Flex-coat and it works for me.

Dunno how I missed this post.....I reckon Thommo is on the money. I agree it looks more like Flett.
The 'butterknife' looks much sharper than Peters norm and that small flat section under the tail isn't either... Looks like a very special Hybrid. Brad |

Yeah I think Thommo is right also , I believe Jamie took on that shape at one time also ,as for the signature I don't believe that is a Joe Flint Mick ???

Regarding the smudging of the ink fellas. It is the solvent in the clear, obviously, I only use enamels and when I come to brushing over the lettering I don't drag the brush.
Just puddle it on with the flat side of the brush until covered then carry on brushing further around the lure. Gordon |

Hey boys.
This lure is definitely not one of mine. I've never made a lure with a pointy bib or one with 'scorpion' written on it. I usually put red paint under the front and back - usually a good indication that the lure is one of mine. Regards Hurtle (Joe) Flint

Thanks for all the input everyone, had forgotten about this post.
Would have to agree now that it definately looks like Flett, have no idea where this lure ended up , misslaid a few in the move down and never found em so who knows??
