Anybody happen to have one in their collection, or actually familiar with the lure.
Perhaps someone has one in their unknowns.

We were sent some as a promotion in 1995 to our club. To tell the truth I haven't swum it... Must take it out one day... They were touted as the "BEST NEW LURE" on the scene...

Thanks Ian
Just curious what it actually looked like in the flesh. The shape of the bib intrigued me. They are clear in the photo, must have had some changes at some stage. Regards John

John, from memory, I think it was a woman who was peddling these lures and said they did custom paint jobs which may explain why some bibs were painted. Mine is a 4" model, quite flexible, and I think I had a smaller one at some stage...

Made on the gold coast many years ago , i think the lures had some swimming issues at the start , good concept , i can remember seeing them at the Tackle Warehouse when i worked there in the mid nineties , i think they were more accepted in the U.S.A than here , new concepts back then were not readily accepted , no such thing as spinner baits and Mr Twister tails were pretty much all that was available , cheers pearcey

Piercey is right, they never took off over here, They ended up being bought by some US mob and pretty much flopped after initial launch. I do believe they did make a reappearance just a few years ago on the local market, with much the same result. Modelled off the old french SOSY lure which swam a lot better. There are plenty of better swim baits around now even if they were cheap.

I remember Possum lures well, they came to my factory back in the early 90's and asked me if I could fix the problem they were having getting their lures to swim right after swimming a few in my test tank it was pretty obvious all the bib placements were way out. By the time they left that day I had replaced each models bibs with some JaySea bibs and they seemed to work fine, shortly after that I think they sold it to a US company.
Cheers Warren
