Hi adam, keep them in the original packets if you got them
If not I put most of my stuff in Takle boxes and Pack them away
I also have some of my collectables mounted in Display frames
and I have alarge map of Australia that I have my company logo
on with all my products around It and it is mounted on the wall.
Acouple of the other guys have Display cases and Nets to hang there collections
on. I think it's up to the collector as to what they want to do with
there collections to keep them in good nick........Pete.

HI Adam Some of the guys put rubber tubing over the hooks
and hook covers, Cigarette filters and cotton bud tips
there are heaps of ways to protect your lures but I think
that if you Display them and don't touch them they will be fine
......Pete.

Hook tubing can be a good idea to help protect against hook points and scratches in them, clear tubing doesn't detract from the look which is important to me, although any kind of soft plastic tubing would do the job.
I tried cig filters, although they tend to fall off fairly easy. I also went through a phase of taking the hooks off, although that can turn into a nightmare trying to store the right hooks to match the lures etc |

HI adam, you can pick up packets of tubing from go lo or the cheap $2 shops
the kids use them to plait and make things out them they're called scoobies
and come in a wide range of colours. My wife is a nurse and she gets my
tubing from work but I'm sure if you looked around hard enough you
will find some somewhere.......Pete.

I got mine off ebay mearzie, in 3 different sizes. (Barra Lures, Offshore Lures, and southern Lures)
Search ebay.com (US Site) for "hook tubing" http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=p3907.m570.l1313&_nkw=hook+tubing&_sacat=See-All-Categories |

Sadly most of my lures are packed in boxes at the moment due to nowhere appropriate to display them
I do have a plan to change that soon, although I have to get a lot of other stuff done first. My collection is a mixture of both old and new and when I get the display sorted it will include both Watch that ebay - it can be a dangerous place for your wallet! |

I suppose I should wash my mouth out with soap BUT if you are into metal lures as well as wood
THEN The Metal Glo Professional tube of gunk I got off Ebay from USA is the bee's knees. Only metal though, it loves to eat paint ! Very happy with the job it has done on some of my old dirtier lures! It says "cleans , polishes and protects"...time will tell on the protect part. It certainly does the first 2. cheers wayne |

One of my security alarms 223 / 12g combo. Savage by name and nature
If I miss with the 223 (unlikely I can tell you) then the 12 buckshot will slow em down whilst I reload

Gee, and I only have mine in an alarmed room with a steel backed door and additional locking devices, which somehow seems inadequate now

My F in law has a poster on the front..It has a pic of a double barrel shot gun and says"these premises are guarded 3 days a week, you guess which 3 "
Seriously though, dont store them in original clear plastic packets if you can.Lure collectors have told me lots of these plastics have acids in them which attack the lures paints over time. How true this is i dont know but several have said this. Then again,if you toss out or open a sealed original packet, dose the lure lose value ?? nando.

Forgot to say,as the boys have said, its a good idea to place plastic tubing over hooks.
Especially a good idea and policy if lures are going through the post.Last year i was reading an article where (in Australia) a parcel containing lures had trebles that worked their way through the parcel barbs and all.Dont think this would of happened if they had tubing firmly placed..Last thing we want is a ban on lures in the post.

Just to contribute... If having them displayed in the open, keep them out of the sunlight that can stream in. Fades the paint.
Also, sweet guns. I use a Blackhawk .44 mag and a fiesty pomeranian to protect mine ()
