A photo of Ray would be good Big smile, plus anything that resembles his lure making past (and present?).

Thanks Travers - That is what I was inferring... after all what is a bio without at least that minimalist information..

Use the work box brownie Al.

Might be a stupid question but i always wanted to know, and maybe it can be answered here already by you Alister or any other member.

I was always curious to know if Ray carved his lures? Or were they made on a lathe?
Cheers

James

Something I was going to ask as well. I was under the impression they were carved but the finish is so uniform and good that it was on the list of things to confirm

Wow, great afternoon. Sooooo much info. I don't know when I will be able to put it up as a bio as there is 1hr 44mins just of audio recorded conversation but will do so as soon as I can. I can say though that Ray is a really nice guy who had some really interesting insights into designing lures for certain applications.

Not only did I learn his lure making process, which is by router and jigs but was able to get a pic of him with the gear demonstrating it.

Really appreciated him opening up his door and sitting around talking lures and fishing with me and look forward to catching up again.

Paul,
OCD was my instant 'connection' made to that shape.
May be off the mark, but I thought it looked familiar too.
