Hi Guys, I have been getting a little quicker now at shaping my lures and have got a little stock pile going ready for paint. Only problem is the compressor I am using drives me insane with how loud it is so I'm delaying the paint process. What compressors do you guys run? After something quiet that won't break the bank. Cheers

I have been using one of these for probably 5 years, thought it would last 1 when I bought it- Make sure you check and drain the tank after a lot of rain, otherwise in our dry climate here it's no problem.
Also purchase a hose with 'Quick connect fittings' you will love them. Pete http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1-6HP-Air-Compressor-with-Tank-for-Air-Brush-Spray-Gun-Nail-Art-Make-Up-Tattoo-/191249801289?hash=item2c87606049:g:NIgAAOSwGzlTxjDJ |

Hi Scott.
I had a noisy compressor too up until a few months ago. I was a bit annoyed when it stopped working as it was still within warranty, however I threw the lot away and started looking for something quieter and more compact. Settled on an entry level Art Logic compressor. Super quiet and retails for around 200-250 dollars. Cheers Danny. |

I have a couple but always tend to use the same one Pete put up. Cheap, works well and is very quiet. As he said, just watch the moisture build up.

Used one of these for more than a decade, designed originally to be used in Hospitals. Sometimes I had big orders to get out and I could spray late into the night without annoying anyone

Chris I called the distributor at Archerfield. Repco , Blackwoods or Bursons are the place to get a competitive price. They said the rrp is $1016 Cheers

$119 posted on ebay, appears to be the same one I have used for years. Don't use it much but never had a problem with it.

Scotty,i had a similar problem, bit the bullet and bought a twin motor silenced 50L compressor from sydney tools. With both motors running its half as loud as the previous super cheap old banger i had.
If your still in the market for one, im happy for you to pop round one day and have a look/listen to it? I normally paint at 5am before work and its awesome! Cheers, Troy |
