Picked up this lure recently but not sure of its' heritage?? The box says it was made in Finland by FINN R-UISTIN OY... The bib is stamped RAPALA FLOATING IRELAND. The lure is 8.5cm but the box says 6.5cm. Any ideas guys???

Ian, the words on the box  FINN R - UISTIN can be translated as FINNISH LURE

Finnr is Old Norse for a person from Finland and Uistin is Finnish for a swimming fishing lure

I would suspect the lure does not match the box, as Rapala started making in Ireland in 1980.

ohh and Nuoramoinen is a town north of Helsinki.

PJ might know more of these.

It's an original floating lure by Rapala in a box it doesn't belong in.

Thanks guys, am willing to trade it for the right 60's US lure! Smile Will throw in this other one as well (don't think it's a Rapala) At least it fits the description on the box!! Clap
