How will oiled timber hold up in the drink?
Is it a certain type of timber needed? I'm just having flashbacks of cricket bats (oiled willow) getting completely stuffed after a wet days play. |

Yes, the same timber used when making timber surfboards. And timber surf plans. These are also just oiled
