I located information on Ron Wood lure maker South Australia July 1987 t/as RCee Lures Lures were available from The Sportfishing Scene , Cavan and also sold across the border.
Lures were made for big fish initially and it was intended to branch into smaller lures down the track.
Lure bibs were all laser cut. Could be trolled in excess of 10 knots.
Un able to report how large the original lures were maybe some one from S.A can provide a bit more info
Black and white photo follows

I could see some bluefin tuna on those big ones. Nice lures by the look of them. A bit of Nth QLD influence as well on the barra looking one I think

This is the third time I have typed this as I keep loosing it referring back to the original post.
However, I work at the shop listed in the article, part time, on & off now for perhaps 20 years. Dont get any pay as it all goes on tackle. I know Roon Wood fairly well he lives about 4-5kms from me. It is quite a while since he stopped making lures which is a pitty for they were a quality item. Well made and well finished. If you would like to compose a list of questions I will see what infomation I can gather. He designs and build theatre sets all over the world, a man of extremely high talents and high demand. I guess that may be the reason for the demise of his luremaking.I have several of his lures which are not available. But I will post photos.

G'day Bill, Thank you for the offer to have a chat with Jim for us, that would be great. Re the list of questions I think I'll enlist the help of the forum members to get a list together of questions they'd like to know the answers to from LureMakers - Collectively the members are likely to come up with a much better list of questions than I could |

Cheers, Tony

Tony I was at the tackleshop mentioned above today and Ron Wood came in. I explained the situation with regard to LL and he has agreed to discuss his luremaking early in the new Year. So if You or Barry can come up with a list of prompts I will attempt to interview Ron and take some Pics.
Regards Bill Jackson
