    Posted: 13 Jul 2013 at 4:45pm

I am very pleased to note that Esme Henderson’s World Record (IGFA) and Australian Record (ANSA) 35kg (77lb) Giant Trevally on 6kg line class remains valid after 17 years. It wouldn't supprise me if this record is never broken.

This monster was caught on a 70mm Hinchinbrook Hunter painted in my ‘Kermit’ colours of green and yellow.

Esme and Keith now live down Bundaberg way but we keep in email contact on a regular basis.

Cheers Lou,

Just bung ' em in the water mate & hang on !!

It was just my normal eyelets Rick, twisted 1.2mm stainless mig wire held in with 24 hour Araldyte.

Unfortunately she had to send the lure over to the States as part of the record claim and the buggers kept it.

Hey Martin, give it a go mate.
I reckon the lure will be up to it but as for the rest of the equation......very doubtful that is the line, rod and reel.

As for the fisherman, not a problem.
Cheers Lou,
