I am looking for some ideas for a rod locker, interested to see what others have in their boats. I will also grab some photo's later today of the inside of my rig so those more experienced than me can offer some suitable suggestions.

Here are some shots of when I rebuilt my Haines Hunter V17.

50 mm poly tube, cap the end, fill with sand - heat up with heat gun, Bend to shape to fit to hull.

You can get maximum length rods into the hull, for the amount of space you have. Makes them very easy to get in and out.

I put a rod locker in my previous Bluefin 4.8m, but without the tubes - they were forever getting tangled or hooked up.

Matt

I have not continued with this for the moment due to changing boats. Will revisit this will the new hull when I pick it up at the end of this week.

Brilliant setup Matt! Clap

I love how it maximises the use of the bow area. Finding extra length for securely storing longer rods has been a problem in several boats I have set up, thank you for sharing.

Cheers, Tony

For the love of Fishing Lures.
