Fishing World Aug 1999  The Spitfire lure  10cm

I found it a little hard to see the detail on  the lure. It appears it can catch fish.

The trebles are not positioned at the end of the lure.

There is a reference to the spitfire lure elsewhere but not by this lure maker.

Does anybody have any of these lures in their collection.
Regards John

I am amazed, there is not many Aussie lures that you have not come across.

Is it right some of the hook placements are not necessarily located at the end of the lure.
I had thought nobody would  have come across these lures.
Thanks for posting
regards John

John, yes the rear hook eye is placed forward about  15-20mm from tail. Scott's reasoning was to allow less short strikes and I guess the body is a little more robust and the tail would stand less chance of splitting under pressure of fish struggle.
