Not sure about John's lure making history the tackle box that had some of these in I havent used for over ten years or more

John was very much influenced by Peter Newell. They were the best of mates. Notice the soldered towpoint and the larger front hole. Graeme your selection is obviously older than mine as the paintjob is a bit more polished in the later ones. Check the other posts for info. John was a hobbyist and enjoyed nothing more than swimming those lures.

Uncle John (from memory) was taught by Peter Newell. From the stories he would tell us he lived either across the road or next door.

After Peter Newell finished with the Police Force he rented a house for years along the main road heading north out of town Rouse St. Peter and Kathy then bought a house in High St right across the road from John.
