Great upriver in a few months, should be ok now.
Just watch the tides, last week 1.7 high, .2 low.
Excelent summer spot.
I am looking at arranging a bass catch with fisheries in this bit of water when I get time, we do The Mc Donald river now.
Last week we did bass catch on the Mc Donald, while this is a bit quiet (still a bit early) we still managed 50 odd bass and 5 flathead (best bass 365 fork lenght).
The January bass catch is always a cracker, I reckon Mangrove River would be the same.

You do me wrong sir.  The local patrons are well known for their sophistication and well to do mannerisms. In fact each Sunday afternoon you can see them reading out poetry from the tables across the road on the river.

And yeah Dave, I know you have been there cause they had a poem about you on the wall

I was up at the junction of the Colo and the Hawksberry Rivers a week or so ago the there were eight of us in four boats and we all caught bass. The biggest was 445 mm caught by a mate.

You'll fit in well with the Spencer boys BoB.. the pub is outdoors under a tree..WinkWinkWinkWink
and the boat ramp is just across the road.. you'll have to travel a long way
upstream to get to the good bass country in mangrove creek.. there used to be a bass fish
farm up there too... take some crab nets with you there are some nice muddy's
in there as well..SmileSmileSmileSmile...pete.
I'd rather be fishing with
