I have recently seen a stumpjumper in the 2.5 size that has a surface bib as well as the usual two that you get in the pack. I was just wondering if anyone has used this lure and had any success with it.
Thanks, Brodie

Would like to try them but can't find them for sale in my local shops.........Brilliant idea = save carrying extra lures on those walking trips up small creeks.

I have seen them in my local 'TackelWorld'. I have not tried them but had the idea they were specifically surface poppers - as in the bib was 'fixed' in place. Obviously this is not the case and it can be used as a normal 'stumpy'?
cheers Jim

Bit the bullet and just bought one today! Looks like great lure but i don't think i will be able to use for a few weeks. Jim, they do come with the normal bibs and it can be fished from 5m to 3m, so it will be a very versatile lure. It will be fished a lot in the years to come and hopefully it will be the lure to give me my first fish off the surface!!!

Seems such an obvious thing to do yet has not been done before. I would be interested to see the action on the water. Looks very similar to the Halco nightwalker bib but has a deeper cup compared to most surface lures. It would be a great lure for walking the rivers for Cod and Bass where talking a whole tackle box of lures is not feasible when on foot for many km's. The Stumpy was always a favoured lure by the father inlaw before changing over to the crazy crawlers once night came on in the gorge country of the upper Clarence system rivers. I could see that this lure could be used with both surface and diver bibs to really work a productive looking snag with a quick change between casts.
