Here is a few Sure Lures for the group's perusal , made up in the Atherton Tablelands region as far as I know . I'm sure some other members will have more info . Perhaps they could have their own sub-forum Tony ???

Mick, the last lure in my pic is a Howie lure, made by Howard Rankin - the pre-curser to Sure Lures. He is also the maker of Sure Lures. They are lovely lures, I'd like to get my hands on more.
Good judgment comes from experience, and a lotta that comes from bad judgment.

My couple. I have some smaller ones as well in the boat somewhere. They swim really well.
Plastic is for storing lures, not making them.

I have quite a few of these in mint condition. If anyone's interested I can post a pic, trade for HH's in 4" colours I don't have, or other timber Aussie NQ makers I don't have.
Regards, Seaweed.

Lovely collection mate, thanks for taking the time to lay them out for some pics. You've confirmed a couple that I thought were Sure Lures and identified another unknown Clap .

Your old man certainly produced a vast array of top quality lures in the NQ style. Hopefully Tony will create a section for them in QLD Lures.

A mate picked up 3 lures at a garage sale recently, look like early Sure Lures. They all have open trebles and no split rings.
