To date I have not been able to establish the name of the guy who carved these lures. They have a quite distinct style and I was told that they were purchased at the Belmont Fisherman's Warehouse around 1978.
The locals speak highly of them as being very effective at a place in the Swansea Channel called "Reid's Mistake". The lures pictured are examples of the 3" and 4" versions but I believe that several other sizes were also made. It would be appreciated if anyone could add any additional details about these lures that they would be happy to share. Regards, Col |

I could be wrong but am sure 6-8 ? months ago Debbie or someone she knows wrote something about these lures, I recall the makers name (or a name) was mentioned ??
I am sure she will let me know if I'm completely wrong (in a nice way).

The only name I have come up with is Grahame Bray from Swansea 1991 Fishing World mag but obviously haven't confirmed him as the maker. Made a range of lures called Mitch.
Anyone heard of him????? |

Thank you for the lead Debbie. That name is not familiar to me but hopefully it may jog a memory for someone else.
