Had a bit of challenge with a fellow site member to create a pair of lures for a trip to Jindy in November targeting big browns over the Yabby beds and a smaller lure for electric trolling around the edges.

So came up with this pair of Tonk Trout lures, the first is tiny i.e. crickhopper size and utilises a set of Decoy Dancing Jack singles, the second a nice medium size shrimp that will get down about 5-6' on the troll.

Cheers

Rob

Mate, to tell the truth I've never sold a Tonk, have mostly given them away to mates for fish pics, good cause funds raising or traded them for Deceptions.

Soon however I'm going to need to justify the time in the shed to the missus, so yes, I will shortly have a some Tonks available and for sale.

Cheers

Rob

`

John, I played around with the hook location on the prototype and found that situating it in the 'fulcrum' of the action worked on such a tiny lure - a rear positioned treble was overbearing.

The Decoys were recommended to me by some Trout Trollers from Vic who use them on winged trout lures to great effect .... the outcome was just what I was looking for, a trailing hook that didn't inhibit the action.

Cheers
