Trevor McFeeters teaching his grandson Dillon McFeeters (10) how to make lures, after Dillon spent hours designing his first lure, road trip down to Dad's to make it.
He is calling it DP1 (Dillon and Par no1) look out for these in another 5-10yrs, he has the bug!! [IMG]

Nice to see. Would be great to have some 3rd generation New England makers emerge. Peter has some grandkids around the same age. Keeping the name, skills and style of lures going would be a good thing.

I am happy for Trevor as well as I am sure he would of enjoyed the lesson. I remember the first time I met him he seemed disappointed that lure making was not something you guys seemed to want to take on. Cant understand why slogging out hand carved lures for little return whilst plastic 10c crap is sold for twice as much was not appealing to youLOL
Alistair.

Yes it's great to see these young ones into making lures, it's better than sitting in front of the TV or computer!! It doesn't make for a good living with the cheap plastic lures around, But it sure does make a great hobby.
I cannot wait to swim his first lure very excited I think it looks great.

Great stuff, Keith Thumbs Up.  Trevor's looking well and young Dillon looks like he may catch the lure making bug.

I wish someone in my family was interested in whittling a few lures.

Cheers

Travers

Not a problem, Keith.  I've nearly got the current batch of 90 lures fitted and ready for glueing.  Should start undercoating in about 3 weeks.

Cheers

Travers, I just told Dillon I've got someone to paint his lure him, but he said that he wants to paint it, so now it will be painted CAT yellow & black. Thanks for the offer though Travers and I will catch up with you at the expo.
