I viewed a large (4 inch plus) unpainted timber lure on the weekend - boomerang shaped.
This tow point was twisted wire that was bent at 90 degrees thru the bib and travelled under the lexan (clear plastic) bib and entered the lure body alongside the bib. No photo to show as I was clever enough to delete the 3 I took... grrrr. I have seen this wire arrangement before but grey matter is clouded. Hard call but any ideas please. wadey

I would guess a Whitmore boomerang. There are pictures of at least 2 on this site

I used this method in the early days, before easy access to Omega clips. Mid `80s. Cheers Richard

Wadey, after our talk you got me thinking, wouldn't be Lou Tiezel of Lucinda Lures?

Wow A nice sounding lure, why was it unpainted and where was it bought or found all this information would help your Quest. For many years pics of lures you ask of have been on this site. And a quick look around would help and also the same copy an paste on your Facebook page has given a great insight for the plee you are searching.
A photo would help and without one is fruitless cause. But saying boomerang shape should lead in the right direction if you have followed this forum over the years hopefully. Time frame from owner may aid or It could be a rare Newell Boomer. |

Thanks to all who have offered some helpful clues to identifying but jury is still out.
Chasing up second set of images and will post up asap.....
Just goes to show the depth and knowledge base on here and on Facebook. Congrats to all and no Tony Pain, it was not a Newell boomerang as we both know what THEY look like, don't we.... wadey |
