Here are 3 timber vipers
I have drawn 2 lines 75mm apart from each other and put the tail end of each lure on the bottom line.
Is this just the joy of hand carving or is there a size between the viper bass and the 75mm?
there is easily 10 mm difference in length in these?

hmmm , definitely some variation there, I am sure Shane will give the good oil when he sees this.
I pretty sure there were 3 sizes available commercially, 50, 75 and 100mm body. |

Hey Guys , thanks for the look back at history and some forgotten colour schemes, the answer you are looking for can easily be explained and that is , "sometimes you can make a stuff up look like the real thing" yes we all do it and one or two have been cut with the band saw a little short around the last corner and some are just plain cut with the stanley knife too harsh and the end result is a shorter lure . Just think , "you have something nobody else has in that size and type " "A Good Old Stuff Up " ,Shane.
