G'day Ted

All seems to be working correctly at the server, I haven't made any changes recently.

If you put the mouse cursor above the new icons what do they say?

Cheers, Tony

Don't know as it is working here so suspect it is a problem your end. If not done so already, I would clear all cookies and data and then shut down the computer and restart then try again. This will fix things most of the time. If not, Tony will need to come up with something better as that exhausts my tech knowledge

From your post above Ted it looks like you are using internet explorer so I've just had a look using the latest version (Internet Explorer 11) that was recently released - and yes it's broken some things (about par for the course with Msft Internet Explorer unfortunately)

Testing in Internet Explorer 11 the screen looks like this;

It still works, although as you mentioned it looks different - The Internet Explorer upgrade has introduced some new "features" that are causing problems, this is typical for MSIE and is a pain in the butt! Wacko although I will be able to work around it and will release another upgrade asap to work around the new bug in MSIE.

For now please use the image upload button I circled in red in the above image when using Internet Explorer 11;
Click Image Upload
Click "Browse"
Select the image file you wish to upload, then select "Open"
Click "OK" then wait while the file uploads
Close the inmage upload popup window when all images are uploaded. (normally it closes itself)

I'll do some more research to see if Microsoft is working on the underlying issue as there might be a patch ready/coming to fix their bug allready, if not I will write a bug fix to work around the problem introduced in Internet Explorer 11.

After you have uploaded the image/s you want, click on the red cross at the top right hand corner to close the image upload popup.

While it looks different it still works, however the steps are slightly different (see my post above for instructions)

This will revert back to normal for MSIE11 users once I've had a chance to further investigate just how Microsoft broke it, then fix it and test the fix.

Nice lures Lofty! Clap

For anyone else experiencing this problem with MSIE here's how you can fix it;

1; Click the settings icon (cog) found at top right in MSIE, and then click "Compatability View Settings" (third from bottom)

You should then see a screen that looks like the picture below;

If it is not already entered for you type lurelovers.com and then click "add"

lurelovers.com will then appear in the list of sites added

click "close" and you're done! You should now have the normal lurelovers.com upload and edit features restored. Thumbs Up

Thanks Tony
Valuable info for some of us guys with absolute ZERO computer knowledge.

Can we place the repair info somewhere it would be easier to find should someone else have the same problem.

Currently under "General Discussion".

Thanks John, computer knowledge is one thing - you guys are constantly teaching me new things about lures so I see that as a win/win situation Smile

The thread is in the Help section which is a subforum of General discussion to ensure it is visible to all viewing the site including guests.

Hi Ron,

If clicking the "close" button on the compatibility view popup doesn't work, I'd suggest either clicking on the red cross at the top RHS of the compatibility view popup, or press the "alt" and "c" keys together and release simultaneously

Any of those three methods should close the compatibility popup dialogue.

Giving this post a bump as I've had a few members contact me recently re issues related to  Internet Explorer.

I have made allowances for the issue in the next forum upgrade, although in the interim the steps below will get things back to normal for Internet Explorer users (or as mentioned above give another browser like Chrome or Firefox a go - you might be pleasantly surprised!)
