Used to catch some thumpers in the upper Katherine R. catchment on gold rattlin spots. There again, they'd eat everything you threw at them in this unfished region.LOL

Hungry little sucker sooties and spangleds. I think any small lure within the strike zone works well - too many choices. Martin

These sooties were caught recently near Mackay in the creek while chasing Toga. These sooties went 45cm and 46cm respectively. Both fish sucked the lure off the surface almost immediately. These fish had us fooled for a big toga....

Fav lures include Dempster 2" in yellow, and Black n red. Surface poppers like the black bubble pop are also very good. Red lures seem to work well too.

cheers steiny

I've caught them on poppers and spinner baits. Various other small to medium hard bodies but they were crawling over one and another to get to a Micro Mullet in trout colours! ( Also in Funnel Ck )!
 Cheers Matt.
It's only a stick untill it has TEETH MARKS in it!!!
