Mine would have to be rapala cd7 , cd5 , cd9 , always go back to them when nothing else is working . Have caught some nice double figure trout with the vampire and on the blue white I think could be mullet pattern on the troll... In the rivers rebel crickets go alright in our small streams but lost most of mine to greedy trees... Aaron

Fish cake around dusk Lake Pedder

If they are on the bite they explode over the lure

Came across an old video transferred to disc (Brisbane Fishing / boat show April this year) by Mal Florence believed to be around 1977 Lake pedder trout fishing some outstanding footage when Lake Pedder was in its hay day

As a person who believes that native fish displaced by an import is not right then Rotenone  followed up by a good dose of fingerling release of native blackfish, Perches and cod and well as native Galaxiais would be my prefered methodWink  .

IF a lure had to be picked for these highland carp then the Celta would be my first choice as an all rounder.

Wink You know for what its worth I used to have the same opinion as alistair but since hooking them up on spinnerbaits with 1 and 2 kilo lines respectively and have em jump out of the water tail dancing all over the place can be quite thrilling but they'll never take the place of our natives though! I am not against Trout angling though, since I cannot but suspect it keeps armies of the unworthy away from discovering Bass Wink
