Apparently to do with the cutting out process Nando.Getting more for your Buck.Someone else will most likely give you a proper answer.

G'day Todd, those are very nice, very nice indeedBig smile. I assume they are some of Ray's early lures. Cant say I have seen them before.
 
The 3 holes are different than the small router pilot hole seen on many of Ray's lures. I assume that the 3 holes on these ones are to change the depth/action of the lure.

Yes the holes are to change the depth and action of the lure.

Hi Todd .... actually the 2 on the left started life as Deception Cutlet Bone bodies - in the early days Paul gave Ray some blanks to play around with - these are genuine early hybrids, bodies by Kneller, finishing by Whitmore Wink

Great lures there Todd and these 2 are a unique part of your Whitmore collection Clap
