For those of you that use swimbait hooks for swimbaits, frogs, worms or other soft plastics, here is a cheaper alternative than buying expensive packaged hooks with springs attached.
I use the same floral wire as mentioned in previous posts. 1.To make the coil, wind the wire only three or four times around a nail. 2.Attach to hook and twist coil into the soft plastic lure's nose. I buy hooks in a fifty pack which comes out to be far cheaper than buy a set of 4 for $3. Rigged on my hand poured lures: The coil can also be used to weight a plastic worm Neko style: And to make a tail spinner: (Swivel not necessary) |

Great tip Frank
It's a shame that Senko style worms haven't taken off downunder, I have quite a few different ones from Yamamoto, Next One and even some Bass Assassin styles, and have caught the odd Aust Bass and Golden Perch on them using different techniques. Brad |

I have been using the same rig on Jacks and Barra for about a year. Excellent in snags. I got some springs from USA, cheap as.
